That fix left some bugs which I couldn't get fixes nor really work around. Myriad fixed that since it was due to the new file structure on Encore 5. Import works generally very well from 4.5 - and initially it did not work at all with V5. I'm using Windows and made imports from 4.5 and Version 5 (no difference seen between the various releases). I attached a pdf with screenshots of a fragment of a system with and without the notes showing. I think there must be something wrong with my PDF files, like an unrecognized font or something. When I try to play it, with some files it shows a vertical line moving through the score but there is no sound. In Preview it displays fine, but not in PDFtoMusic.
